Manchester City Nathan Ake.
According to 90min, Bayern Munich and PSG have made contact with Manchester City over a deal for Nathan Ake.
Well, the Netherlands international has become a favourite of Pep Guardiola this season following an injury to Aymeric Laporte, making five Premier League starts.
It represents a major turnaround for Ake at the Etihad Stadium, after he came extremely close to rejoining Chelsea in a deal worth more than £40m over the summer – according to the Guardian.
Now, more of Europe’s elite are interested in the man who cost Manchester City £41m from Bournemouth.
90min believe Bayern Munich and PSG have been in touch with the Citizens over a deal for the Dutchman, while Juventus and Inter Milan are also interested in his services.
However, Manchester City have no interest in selling their No.6 anytime soon after his resurgence in Manchester, and are in no rush to cash in with Ake contracted until July 2025.
Having said that, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Ake force an exit from the Etihad Stadium once Laporte regains full fitness, as the Spain international is ahead of him in the pecking order when fit to play.
In our view, Manchester City should sell Ake to Bayern Munich, but only on one condition.
According to Bild, Guardiola is interested in signing Jamal Musiala, who has become a sensation at the Allianz Arena.
Of course, it will be extremely difficult to sign the 19-year-old, but Guardiola could sweeten the deal by offering Bayern Munich the chance to sign a target of theirs in Ake.
Admittedly, it would take a huge cash offer in addition to the Dutchman being included, but seeing as Julian Nagelsmann is a fan of Ake, anything is possible.
