Cristiano Ronaldo‘s season has been one to forget so far.

The Manchester United star, widely considered to be the greatest footballer of all time, has been relegated to a watcher’s brief, languishing on the Old Trafford bench.

Having almost single-handedly dragged United to some of their most memorable results last season, Ronaldo has been all but frozen out by new boss Erik ten Hag.

Was Cristiano Ronaldo in the wrong or the right?
It has lead to all sorts of debate with pundits and former stars pinning their colours to the mast on both sides of the divide.

Many feel the former Ajax manager is disrespecting the legend that is Ronaldo, while others believe that Ten Hag should continue to stand his ground.

The whole drama came to a head over the weekend as Ronaldo left the Old Trafford caldron before the final whistle during their Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

With United cruising to a comfortable win, Ten Hag chose to bring youngster Anthony Elanga into the fray instead of Ronaldo, leading to the Portuguese veteran marching down the tunnel before full-time.

It was not a good look for either party but now fresh footage has begun doing the rounds on Twitter showing the full extent of the incident.

While it is unclear what is said, Ten Hag and Ronaldo can be seen in discussion, with the latter gesticulating to the manager from his spot on the bench.
