Nathan Patterson’s post Rangers form earns fearless Everton praise as injury branded ‘small setback’
Nathan Patterson has shown signs of a right-sided Kieran Tierney since his move to Everton from Rangers, according to former Scotland international Simon Donnelly.
The right-back is currently facing an anxious wait to see how long he will be out of action for following him being stretchered off during Wednesday’s win over Ukraine in the Nations League. After injury hampered his first six months in Merseyside following a big money move from Rangers,Everton fans have been impressed by his Premier League displays this season.
Donnelly was pleased to see Brentford’s Aaron Hickey replace him effectively but it’s Patterson who he remains really excited for as he views him in a similar mould to Arsenal’s Tierney. He told OLBG: “Patterson is a big player, I really like him. He’s very similar to a young Kieran Tierney on the left-hand side. There is no fear in his play, wants to get forward at any opportunity.
