Barcelona could be set to receive an injury boost ahead of their La Liga clash against Cadiz on Sunday as Javi Miguel of AS is reporting that captain Sergio Busquets is in line to receive the green light from the medical department tomorrow.

Busquets picked up an ankle injury during Barça’s La Liga encounter against Sevilla and has since missed two matches against Villarreal and Manchester United.

Things seemed to have gotten worse for Barcelona as Pedri was taken off with an injury against Manchester United last night. The 20-year-old is expected to be out for three to four weeks, meaning he will miss the second leg against the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

With Gavi also suspended for the reverse fixture in England next week, Xavi seemed to be running out of options in midfield.

But, the Barcelona manager is now set to be boosted by the return of his captain.

As per the report from AS, Busquets is likely to do some part of the group training today and if the sensations are positive, he will receive his discharge from the medical department on Saturday, a day before the Blaugrana play Cadiz in La Liga.
