AC Milan are shopping for a new striker and they may have discovered a profile they like at the World Cup, according to a report.

Calciomercato.it recall that the attacking department has had its problems so far this season in particular the centre-forward area given that Olivier Giroud has been asked to work overtime because Divock Origi has struggled with physical problems and Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still sidelined.

There is a name that has caught the attention of the management at the World Cup in Qatar: Andrej Kramaric. The 31-year-old currently plays for Hoffenheim, a club where he scored 15 league goals in his first league campaign (2016-17), 13 in the one after that, 17 in 2018-19, 12 in 2019-20 and 20 in 2020-21, with 15 goal contributions last season (6G, 9A).

He was linked with Milan in recent windows because his contract was expiring at the end of the current season but he renewed his deal until 2025. The World Cup is a showcase though and with two goals in two games, Kramaric’s name could therefore become a concrete target again for Milan.

It would certainly not be a low-cost deal as it would have been last year, but given he is over 30 it would not a purchase with huge figures either.
