Leo Messi
Things got out of control during and after Argentina-Netherlands yesterday with former Serie A midfielder Edgar Davids who had to separate Leo Messi and Louis van Gaal on the touchline.
Messi and Van Gaal didn’t exactly become friends in Friday’s World Cup quarter-final clash between Argentina and the Netherlands.
The Dutch tactician had upset the Argentineans with his pre-match interviews and his players’ attitude during the game also infuriated the South Americans.
Messi confronted the 71-year-old coach on the touchline after the final whistle telling him: ‘You no longer talk now?’
Former Juventus and Milan midfielder Davids, one of Van Gaal’s assistants, had to intervene using diplomacy, separating the duo.
