Divock Origi
Divock Origi has suffered yet another setback and his physical issues may force Milan to pick up a new forward in January, reports suggest.
The 27-year-old Belgian forward signed for the Rossoneri on a free transfer in the summer after ending an eight-year association with Liverpool, where he scored a handful of crucial goals in big games. Origi’s adventure in Milan has not started particularly well and physical issues have heavily limited his opportunities on the pitch.
As reported by Tuttosport, Origi has suffered a muscle strain and seems set to miss out on the upcoming friendly against PSV on December 30 and the 2023 opener against Salernitana on January 4.
Should Origi’s issues continue in the coming weeks, Milan may look to pick up a new centre forward on loan in January in order to give some relief to the 36-year-old Olivier Giroud, who has featured heavily across all competitions this campaign.
The Belgian forward will be hoping to put his issues behind him before the start of the new year but the club’s management are starting to grow concerned regarding his long-term fitness.
