Napoli have been in close contact with Lazar Samardzic’s entourage and they’re working on a summer move for the Udinese talent, who could’ve joined Milan three years ago.
The 20-year-old German midfielder is proving himself to be a top talent under Andrea Sottil, scoring three goals and providing one assist across 14 Serie A appearances. Samardzic’s stock is continuing to grow in Serie A and top clubs have started to take note, with Napoli looking to outpace their competition.
Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com details how Napoli have been in contact with Samardzic’s entourage to start setting up a move for the German in the summer. Luciano Spalletti is a big fan of the 20-year-old and the Partenopei don’t want to lose out, with the competition fierce.
Milan had the opportunity to snap up Samardzic back in 2019, when he only cost €500,000 whilst at Hertha Berlin. The German met with Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara alongside his whole family, but ultimately no move was made, allowing Udinese to swoop in.
